Replacement UPVC Door Handles
You can find the perfect handle for your door, whether replacing your existing handles or adding additional security. These upvc handles are easy to install and conform to the 92mm centers required by multipoint locks.
The backplate fixing center and the dimensions of the lever/keyhole are the most important measurements. Compare these measurements carefully with your existing marks before ordering.
Lever/Pad
Lever pad door handles consist of an elongated lever handle on one side and a paddle shaped handle on the other. These are designed to be used with key wind locks, however they can also be used to split spindle multipoint door locks (though you'll need a separate dual spindle lock case).
Once you have chosen the appropriate handle for the doors, the available finishes will be shown in the drop-down menu. Some styles of handles are not available in all finishes. It is recommended to look over the technical drawings and size sections for the specific item that you want to ensure you get the right size and fit.
When you are choosing the new set of lever pad door handles made of Upvc it is essential to ensure that they match the PZ (distance between the spindle of the handle and the centre of the cylinder hole) of your current multipoint door locks, as they need to be in line to ensure that the doors remain locked, whether from the inside or the outside. The handles we offer are designed to work with most conventional cylinder locks, however you should always double-check before ordering.
If you are looking to upgrade to dual spindle levers, you will need to remove the existing handles and disassemble the lock case. This will require an additional split cylinder inline. You can purchase these separately. We have included a technical illustration in the images of each product.
It is a good thing to loosen the screws holding your existing door handle and then inspect the mechanism. You may need to loosen the screws a bit more in the event that they are not tight. After that, you can take off the old handle and spindle and replace it with a new upvc door handle. It is crucial to make sure that the handle is in the proper position prior to screwing it into place. You can do this by placing your finger between the door frame and the handle, to ensure that it's level.
Lever/Lever
The lever door handles are used to operate a multi-point lock that uses the Euro cylinder. They are found on a variety of double upvc doors as well as some aluminium and wooden doors. They are equipped with a lever inside and a paddle on the outside and are generally available in two different types. Sprung - they come with a spring cassette inside the backplate to bring the handle lever into a horizontal position. Non-sprung: These do NOT have a mechanism for bringing the handle lever to a horizontal position.
To fix the door handle of a lever that is sagging you must find the hole for access to the detent or pin, which is typically a small round or rectangle with a protruding hole that is located on the opposite side of the handle base plate. Once you have located the detent access hole or pin, you are able to take it out using an screwdriver.
After the handle is placed horizontally, you can install the screws. Make sure to tighten them so that the handle remains firmly fixed to the base plate. It is also recommended to apply a threadlocking adhesive to the threads of the screw to increase the grip and stop them from loosening over time.
There are many reasons that door handles for levers droop. The most common reason is that the fixings are over tightened and are putting stress on the lever bearing and causing it to pull against the door's face. It is also possible that the levers may not have been adjusted at the right angle, which stretches the latch mechanism and prevents it from fully springing into operation.
Another common reason is that the sprung lever is not functioning properly and this is typically due to the sprung not being in the correct position within the backplate. To check if the handle returns to horizontal, simply operate it.
If your door handles are loose, it is essential to spot the issue quickly, since this could lead to excessive wear on the screws and possibly to the handle falling off the base plate. It is also recommended to tighten any loose screws on a regular basis to stop them from becoming looser.
Lever/Snib
These upvc handles are also called 'Snib handle sets' and come with the snib lock button on the top of the lever. If you don't have a dummy lock device you can use this to lock the door. They are usually fitted with a Fullex 68PZ (that's 68mm between the spindle centre and lever or the lock centre) door lock. We also stock a range of 68PZ door handle from manufacturers like Ferco and Fab & Fix.

This could be due to a number of things, but the most common is an absence of lubrication within the latch plate. It is possible to fix this issue by opening the door, spraying lubricant onto the lock and handle. Alternatively, it could be that the latch plate has become dislodged from the backplate. This is a more complex issue that requires the assistance of a specialist.

This is the distance from the edge of the door frame to the centre point of the handle hole in millimetres. You will also need to determine if the door is a hook style lock or a mortise lock. Once you have these measurements, the most efficient method to determine the right handles is to search by brand on the website. This will help you narrow down your options, and then you can select the right size.
